Wenger shuts the door on any Arsenal departures
Arsene Wenger, the Arsenal manager, has put an end to talk of his central defender Kolo Toure joining Manchester City by insisting that no one will be leaving the club during the January transfer window. As for players joining the club, including the Russian forward Andrei Arshavin, the manager was a little more cryptic.

"We do not want to talk too much about who we want to buy," Wenger said. "At the moment I cannot give you any good news but in this job no news is good news. Nothing has fallen through. We are on alert in the transfer market."

Business in sports is not a good idea and that will not encourage the enthusiasm of sport. Now money rules each and every aspects of human beings and we can't blame others...

Arsenal is now not at their best and everyone knows that. Looking forward: Next Match: Today, Arsenal vs Bolton Wanderers (EPL)

RE: Wenger shuts the door on any Arsenal departures
Arsène Wenger believes that Nicklas Bendtner is a work in progress. After spending much of 2007/08 on the fringes of the first team, Bendtner has emerged as a valuable component of the Arsenal attack this season. Within nine minutes of emerging from the bench against Bolton Wanderers on Saturday, the Dane had notched the Gunners’ crucial winning goal. In fact, he had almost scored with his first touch but saw a towering back-post header well saved by Jussi Jaaskelainen.Speaking after the game, Wenger reiterated his belief in the young forward but acknowledged that there is still a long way to go until Bendtner reaches his peak. Bendtner scored nine times in 40 appearances last season but he is well on the way to surpassing that tally this time around. Saturday’s 84th-minute strike was his seventh goal in 24 appearances so far in 2008/09 and his manager thinks it is down to the Dane’s understanding of the game, and not his fluorescent footwear.

I totally agree with you. Business in sports makes the player earn money not the fame. Taking sports for monetary transaction is loosing faith of the audience.
